(Reuters) - Tropical Storm Nadine made landfall in Belize on Saturday, the U.S. National Hurricane Center (NHC) said.
Nadine is about 10 miles (16 km) southwest of Belize City, and 75 miles south of Chetumal city in Mexico. The storm has maximum sustained winds of 60 miles per hour, according to the NHC.
The Miami-based forecaster said tropical storm conditions are expected across Belize and the Yucatan Peninsula through the afternoon.
